Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 18, 2026

1. Who We Are

This Privacy Policy describes how IF LLC ("we," "us," or "our") handles information when you use:

  • the AAA Conversion website at https://AAAconverter.com (the "Website");
  • our AAA Conversion mobile application for iOS on the Apple App Store; and
  • our AAA Conversion mobile application for Android on Google Play

(together, the "Service").

AAA Conversion provides free unit conversion tools. You do not need an account to use the Service, and we do not offer account registration or login.

Questions about this policy: Click "Get In Touch" in the footer of this website. On the iOS or Android app, open Settings and tap Feedback.

2. Summary

  • Accounts: No sign-up; we do not collect names, emails, or profiles through normal use of the converters.
  • Converter inputs: For most tools, values are processed on your device and are not sent to our servers.
  • On-device preferences: Theme on the Website (local storage); on mobile apps, theme, list/grid view, and action bar layout (device storage only).
  • Recent conversions (apps): Shown during your session only; not saved after you close the app.
  • Clipboard (apps): When you tap copy in supported tools (e.g., text case converter), content is copied locally—we do not receive it.
  • Currency rates: Fetched from a third-party exchange rate API; that provider may receive technical data (e.g., IP address).
  • When enabled — Website: Google Analytics 4 (GA4) and Google AdSense.
  • When enabled — mobile apps: Google Analytics for Firebase, Google AdMob, and Firebase Crashlytics.
  • Selling data: We do not sell your personal information.

Analytics, advertising, and crash reporting are described in Sections 3.5–3.9 and apply when those features are turned on. We will update this page when they go live.

3. Information We Collect

3.1 Information You Provide

The Service works without registration. We do not collect account credentials, profile information, or contact details through the converters themselves. If you contact us via Click "Get In Touch" in the footer of this website. or On the iOS or Android app, open Settings and tap Feedback., we receive what you send (such as your email address and message content) so we can respond.

3.2 Information Stored on Your Device

Website — local storage: We use browser local storage to remember your display theme (e.g., light or dark mode). This stays on your device unless you clear site data. It is not used to track you across other websites.

Mobile apps (iOS and Android) — device storage: We use on-device storage (AsyncStorage) to remember your theme, whether you prefer a grid or list view in the converter menu, and the order of buttons on the action bar. This data stays on your device unless you clear the app's storage or uninstall the app. We do not use it to identify you across unrelated services.

Recent conversions (mobile apps): Some converter screens show a short list of recent conversions while the app is open. This list is kept in memory only and is cleared when you close the app; we do not upload it to our servers.

Clipboard (mobile apps): In tools such as the text case converter, you may copy a result to your device clipboard. That action is initiated by you and stays on your device unless another app accesses the clipboard.

3.3 Conversion and Currency Data

Most converters: Calculations run on your device (browser or app). The numbers and units you enter for those tools are not transmitted to our servers for conversion.

Currency converter: The Service requests exchange rates from a third-party provider (open.er-api.com, part of the Exchange Rate API service). Requests are sent from your device and may include technical data such as your IP address, device or browser type, and the base currency code in the request (e.g., USD). That provider processes data under its own policies.

3.4 Information We Do Not Collect Through the Service

We do not require or support user accounts, collect payment information through the converters, or ask for your name, email, or phone number to use conversion features.

3.5 Google Analytics (Website)

When enabled, we use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) on the Website to understand how visitors use the Service—for example, which pages are viewed, approximate geographic region, browser and device type, and general interaction patterns. Google may use cookies and similar technologies and processes data as described in Google's Privacy Policy and the Google Analytics terms. GA4 data is typically aggregated or pseudonymous; we do not use it to identify you by name or link it to an account. Where required by law (for example in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland), we obtain your consent before non-essential analytics cookies, which you may manage through our cookie/consent tools on the Website when shown.

3.6 Google Analytics (Mobile Apps — iOS and Android)

When enabled, our iOS and Android apps use Google Analytics for Firebase (GA4 for apps) to understand app usage—for example, screens viewed, session duration, device model, operating system version, and general region. This helps us improve the apps. Processing is subject to Google's policies. On iOS, analytics may also be affected by your device privacy settings and, where applicable, your choices regarding App Tracking Transparency (see Section 8).

3.7 Advertising — Google AdSense (Website)

When enabled, we display advertisements on the Website through Google AdSense. Google and its advertising partners may collect or receive information such as cookie identifiers, IP address (which may indicate general location), browser and device characteristics, and ad impressions and clicks. This information is used to show ads, measure performance, limit ad frequency, and fight fraud. Much of this processing is performed by Google and its partners under their own policies. We do not receive your converter input values through AdSense.

Google's use of advertising cookies enables Google and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to our Service and/or other sites on the Internet. See Section 9 for links to control personalized advertising.

3.8 Advertising — Google AdMob (iOS and Android Apps)

When enabled, our mobile apps display ads through Google AdMob. Google and partners may collect or receive device and advertising-related information, such as advertising identifiers (on iOS, Apple's Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA) where available and permitted; on Android, Google's Advertising ID), IP address and general location, device type, OS version, language, and ad interactions. We use AdMob to monetize the free apps. AdMob does not receive the specific values you type into converters for ad targeting by us. On iOS, you may limit ad tracking in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking and Apple Advertising (Section 8).

3.9 Crash and Diagnostic Data — Firebase Crashlytics (iOS and Android Apps)

When enabled, we use Google Firebase Crashlytics in our iOS and Android apps to identify crashes and technical failures so we can fix bugs and improve stability. Crashlytics may automatically collect crash stack traces and error messages, app version and build, device model, operating system version, language, timestamps, and installation UUIDs or similar identifiers used to group crash reports.

Crashlytics is not designed to collect the content you enter into converters. However, crash logs could theoretically include fragments of app memory in rare cases; we do not use Crashlytics to intentionally collect personal information you type into the app. Please avoid entering sensitive personal data into converter fields. Crash data is processed by Google under Firebase/Google privacy terms.

3.10 Hosting and Technical Logs

Our hosting providers may automatically log limited technical data when you load the Website—for example, IP address, date and time, requested URL, and browser type—for security, delivery, and operations. We use such logs only as needed to operate and protect the Service, not to build marketing profiles.

4. How We Use Information

We use information for:

  • Providing the Service — running converters, loading content, remembering on-device preferences, and showing session conversion history in apps;
  • Currency rates — obtaining rates from the third-party API;
  • Analytics (when enabled) — understanding Website and app usage via Google Analytics / Firebase Analytics;
  • Advertising (when enabled) — displaying and measuring ads via Google AdSense (Website) and Google AdMob (iOS and Android apps);
  • Reliability (when enabled) — diagnosing crashes and errors via Firebase Crashlytics;
  • Security and operations — protecting the Service and maintaining infrastructure;
  • Support — responding when you contact us through the Website footer or app Settings.

We do not use converter inputs to build marketing lists or sell personal information.

5. Legal Bases (EEA, UK, and Switzerland)

Where these laws apply, we rely on:

  • Legitimate interests — to provide, secure, and improve the Service, analyze aggregated usage, and respond to support requests;
  • Consent — where required for non-essential cookies and technologies, including personalized advertising and certain analytics on the Website (via our consent banner when shown);
  • Legal obligation — when we must retain or disclose information by law.

You may withdraw consent where offered, without affecting core conversion features that do not depend on optional cookies or tracking.

6. Cookies, Local Storage, and Similar Technologies

6.1 Our Own Technologies

Local storage (Website): theme preference only. Apps: theme, list/grid view mode, and action bar button order (see Section 3.2). Clearing app data or uninstalling removes this information.

6.2 Analytics and Advertising Technologies

When enabled, Google Analytics (Website) and Google AdSense use cookies and similar technologies as described in Sections 3.5 and 3.7. When enabled, AdMob and Firebase Analytics in mobile apps use advertising identifiers, SDKs, and similar technologies as permitted by your device and applicable law.

6.3 Managing Your Choices

Website: You can block or delete cookies in your browser. Our cookie/consent tool (where shown) lets you accept or reject non-essential cookies, including analytics and advertising cookies where required.

iOS app:

  • Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking (App Tracking Transparency, when advertising SDKs are enabled and we request permission for cross-app tracking);
  • Settings → Privacy & Security → Apple Advertising (limit personalized ads);
  • Settings → [AAA Conversion] — app-specific permissions.

Android app: Settings → Google → Ads (opt out of Ads Personalization).

Clearing local storage on the Website resets your theme preference. On mobile apps, clear storage in system settings or reinstall the app to reset on-device preferences.

8. iOS-Specific Privacy (Apple App Store)

When you use our app on iPhone or iPad, the following may apply in addition to the rest of this policy:

  • App Store: Apple processes your download, updates, and purchases (if any) under Apple's Privacy Policy. We do not receive your Apple ID password.
  • App Privacy labels: Apple's App Privacy information for our iOS app describes data types collected by the app and linked to you or used for tracking, as required by Apple.
  • App Tracking Transparency (ATT): When AdMob or similar advertising is enabled, we may request permission to track you across other companies' apps and websites for advertising. iOS will then show a system prompt. Your choice affects whether identifiers such as IDFA are available to ad partners. You can change this later in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
  • Device settings: You can limit ad personalization via Settings → Privacy & Security → Apple Advertising.

Our iOS app follows Apple's App Store Review Guidelines and applicable privacy requirements for apps distributed on the App Store.

9. Advertising Choices and Google Disclosures

Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to our Website or other sites.

When AdMob is enabled in our iOS and Android apps, also use your device's advertising and privacy settings as described in Section 6.3.

10. Data Retention

  • Theme / on-device preferences: until you clear app or browser storage.
  • Recent conversions (apps): cleared when you close the app.
  • Analytics (when enabled): retained by Google according to our GA4/Firebase configuration and Google's settings.
  • Advertising data (when enabled): retained by Google and partners per their policies.
  • Crashlytics (when enabled): retained as needed to investigate issues, then per Google/Firebase practices.
  • Support emails: as long as needed to handle your request and for reasonable business records.
  • Server logs: for a limited period consistent with security and hosting practices.

11. Data Security

We use reasonable measures appropriate for a free utility service. No transmission or storage method is completely secure. Most conversion data stays on your device; when analytics, ads, or crash reporting are enabled, related risks are primarily governed by Google's security practices and your device settings.

12. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through account features because we do not offer accounts. If you believe a child has contacted us with personal information, please reach us via Click "Get In Touch" in the footer of this website. or On the iOS or Android app, open Settings and tap Feedback.. We will take appropriate steps.

If we learn the apps or Website are used primarily by children, we will review ad and analytics settings to comply with applicable child-privacy and advertising rules.

13. International Transfers

IF LLC is based in the United States. Information may be processed in the United States and other countries where Google and our providers operate, which may have different data protection laws than your country. Google offers appropriate safeguards as described in its documentation for international transfers.

14. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to processing, data portability, or withdraw consent. Because we do not operate user accounts:

  • Theme / local data: clear via browser or app storage settings.
  • Analytics / ads: use Google Ad Settings, device ad settings (including iOS settings in Sections 6.3 and 8), and our Website cookie controls where available.
  • Crashlytics: we cannot typically identify a specific crash report to an individual user; for data held by Google, see Google's privacy help.
  • Other requests: Click "Get In Touch" in the footer of this website. or On the iOS or Android app, open Settings and tap Feedback.. We will respond as required by applicable law.

We do not sell covered personal information as defined under Nevada law.

EEA / UK / Switzerland

You may lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. For privacy requests, Click "Get In Touch" in the footer of this website. or On the iOS or Android app, open Settings and tap Feedback..

15. "Do Not Track"

Some browsers send "Do Not Track" signals. There is no uniform industry standard for responding to them; our practices are described in this policy.

16. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised version on this page and update the "Last updated" date. Material changes may also be noted on the Website or in App Store and Google Play listings where required.
